Arthur Wooster sadly passed away last week. He was an important part of Worldmark’s story, filming some of the most important films Worldmark has produced.
He shot the first two major films Worldmark made – White Rock and Riddle of the Sands. Then over the years he was the DOP on many other films including the documentaries Supermilers and Born to Run with Seb Coe, various Olympic Films, the 1982 and 1990 World Cup Official Films, a major film for Coca-Cola and fundraising films with Prince Charles.
Even though he worked on major movies he would still come back and work on our smaller productions bringing creativity, boundless energy and all kinds of ingenious ways to film. He put cameras on bobsleighs and ski jumpers, fitted them to hover mowers to track footballers and often took personal risks to get amazing shots.
He will be missed and we hope his spirit lives on in the company.
