Hot and Cold in PyeongChang

Hot and Cold in PyeongChang

It may have been minus 10 on the slopes, but the welcome – and spicy Dak-Kalbi  – was warm as.

It’s one year to go until PyeonChang 2018, the biggest Winter sports event on the planet, and I was lucky to be filming in the very heart of the Test events as a city gets ready to receive the world. It was 5 days of figure skating, curling, ski jumping and snowboarding – mixed in with the culture and ski spirit of this fascinating winter resort.

My journey began Gangnam-style in the beating metropolis of Seoul, and ended as the snow got serious about it in PyeongChang’s Bokwang Snowboard Park. In between, a whirlwind of interviews, action shots, venue tours, outdoor markets, temples and fun on the slopes. We even took in a little health and safety.  And so the journey begins…one year and counting.
