We have been working closely with the Youth Olympic Games since its inception in 2010 in Singapore, through to Innsbruck, Nanjing and now Lillehammer; collaborating with athletes like Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps and Lindsey Vonn.
To help promote the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, there was an opportunity and need for film concepts to excite and inform.
The Games in Lillehammer are launching a new sport – Monobob. A high-octane version of the Bobsleigh, where a single athlete pilots the bobsled at speeds of up to 130km/h (80mph) – acting as both driver and brake person. So we decided to create a fun, action-packed viral film using the spirit of this innovative new sport to generate excitement and anticipation for the Games.
Using high-speed cameras, a drone and Go Pros, we created a promotional trailer for the new Monobob discipline, with more than a nod to ‘Top Gear’ – driving the analogy of the shiny red bobsleigh as a shiny red sports car, ‘created for the ultimate wind tunnel’.
